RUOT David E. Ruot, age 58, of Plainville, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2006 at his home after a long illness. Born in Torrington, the son of Eleanor Ruot and the late Edmond Ruot, he had been a Plainville resident for the last seven years. David was employed in the home improvement and hardware business all of his life, most recently working for the Lowe's home improvement retail stores. He was an avid drummer and active participant in various drum corps for many years, dating back to the 1960s with the Connecticut Hurricanes then later the Connecticut Alumni and most recently Park City Pride. Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Ruot of Fairfield; two children, Brian Ruot and his wife, Jennifer, of Plainville and Melissa W. Ruot of New Britain; two brothers, Richard Ruot and his wife, Barbara, of Monroe and Alan Ruot and his wife, Brenda of Colorado; four grandchildren, Morgan Tetrault, Rileigh Ruot, Joelle Gingras and Tyler Gingras; a nephew, Ernest Ruot and his wife, Lisa, of Newtown; a niece, Barbara Grasso and her husband, Jeff, of Newtown; and many other beloved family and friends.
