Tony Rodia, Carl
Rodia's dad, was a quartermaster for the St. Raphael's Golden Buccaneers
from 1964 - 1968. He was a plumber and steamfitter, a trade that suited
him well when fixing the Bucc's old brass lacquered bugles in '64 and
65. Tony's health was not good in early 2004 and for a while it didn't
look like he'd be able to participate in the Pride reunion . But after
all, he was able to ride the Pride's parade float the day of the parade
and watch the exhibition that evening at Kennedy Stadium. He attended a
few Pride practices and renewed old friendships with many of the former
buccs and some of his quartermaster colleagues.
