Park City Pride announces
2012 musical program
The Park City Pride Alumni Drum and
Bugle Corps of Bridgeport, CT
is pleased to announce their musical
selections for the 2012 season.
Opener – Pride of Sinatra:
featuring “Strangers in the Night”,
“Luck be a Lady Tonight”, “You
and the Night and the
Music” and “My Way”
in
a three minute production.
Next up the corps will swing and
sway to “Sing, Sing, Sing” by Louis Prima, followed by a percussion
feature of Santana’s “Incident at Neshabur”. The corps signature closer
of “I’ll be Seeing You” and a rousing patriotic tribute of Sinatra’s
“The House I Live in” into “America” will round out a show that
promises to be one of the most entertaining in the nine year history of Park
City Pride.
The corps invites anyone to stop by one of
our
Thursday evening rehearsals from 7pm – 9pm beginning on January 5th, 2012 at the City Hall Annex, 999 Broad
Street, Bridgeport, CT.

Park City Pride Announces
2012 Staff The Park City Pride Alumni Drum
and Bugle Corps of Bridgeport, CT is pleased to announce their staff for the
2012 season: Peter Horton – Brass
instructor Mr. Horton brings 39 years of
music education experience to Park City Pride as a teacher and music director
with various organizations in the tri-state area including 24 years as
instructor/music director for the Trumbull CT High School Golden Eagles Marching
Band and as brass director for the Westchester Brassmen Drum and Bugle Corps of
Harrison, NY. Named Director of the Decade for the 90’s by the Eastern Marching
Band Association he is also a past president of the Musical Arts Conference
(MAC). Peter originally marched with the Stateliners in the 60’s and early
70’s. Frank Dorritie – Brass
arranger World Drum Corps Hall of Fame
and Buglers Hall of Fame member Frank Dorritie returns to Park City as
arranger and consultant/instructor at Sunday rehearsals. His drum
corps credentials include working with dozens of prominent groups including the
Cadets, Blue Devils, Bridgemen, Bluecoats, Vanguard, Hurricanes, and others. In
the audio field, he has produced several Grammy Award winners, including Wynton
Marsalis, Cal Tjader, Terence Blanchard and Art Blakey. On Drum Corps Planet,
Frank authors "Inside the Arc" and hosts "Off the Record". Kevin Sandler – Assistant
brass instructor A lead soprano player with Park
City Pride, Mr. Sandler has been teaching music for the past 20 years. He is
currently a private music instructor and has been the brass instructor for the
Bridgeport P.A.L. Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps. since 2007. Kevin has taught
a number of local high school marching bands and has performed with orchestras
and ensembles though out Connecticut. Park City Pride is extremely
excited to have these talented music educators join the staff. Continuing in their respective
roles as visual coordinator/designer and percussion director/arranger are World
Drum Corps Hall of Famers Bob Findley and John Oddo. Also
returning for the 2012 season is renowned guard instructor, Skip Gallant.
Bob Wilcox and Tony Palumbo will return as percussion instructor
and percussion caption head, respectively. Vanessa Zerella Diaz will once again
instruct the rifle / cymbal line. The Park City Pride is entering
its 9th season in 2012. The corps rehearses at City Hall Annex, 999
Broad St. in Bridgeport, CT on three weeknights during the month and one Sunday
rehearsal each month. The corps welcomes anyone, from anywhere who
enjoys playing spirited brass and percussion music, or performing on flag or
